A Material Profile: Amazonite and Brèche Fantastique by Antolini

The Exclusive Collection includes shades of sea green and earthy tones that are enclosed in natural stones.

Quartzite and marble are the two geological families and the two worlds to which Amazonite and Brèche Fantastique respectively belong, among the 85 natural stones that form Antolini’s Exclusive Collection.

Their origins are different from each other, as are their use and the atmosphere they create: Amazonite is a particularly resistant quartzite and is characterized by tones that change from turquoise to emerald green; the Brèche Fantastique marble is defined by earthy colors – brown and cream which take turns with each other.

Amazonite
From a geological point of view Amazonite is classified as a quartzite, specifically a metamorphic rock composed mainly of quartz, element capable of making it resistant. Precisely, it consists of a granite pegmatite, a rock created by different minerals which, placed side by side, create the shades that define the stone: turquoise, sea green, emerald green.

Thanks to its technical characteristics, Amazonite is a natural stone particularly suitable, for example, as a countertop – in fact, it is not exposed to acid-based organic elements – or in bathrooms and spas, where the use of detergents and sanitizers is more frequent. Its shades, which vary according to the veins and the complex color textures, make Amazonite convenient for both residential and contract interior design projects; its presence in a setting is in fact able to catalyze attention and determine the atmosphere.

Part of the marble family, Brèche Fantastique is a natural stone that reveals the story of Mother Nature: it is characterized by a series of earth tone shades – brown and cream – that seem to expose the passage of time through its successions and stratifications.

Often chosen by designers to define interiors, Brèche Fantastiquet gives personality to each of them, thanks also to its brilliance. Marbles, as a matter of fact, have a low refractive index which, as a direct consequence, guarantees the stone a particular luminosity.

As intended use, the Brèche Fantastique marble is suitable both in the living and sleeping areas of residential interiors and in hotel and office spaces projects; thanks to its impressive aesthetics, the slabs can become the focal point of an entire interior project.

Amazonite and Brèche Fantastique, amongst other Antolini’s Exclusive Collection natural stones, are versatile and high-impact design tools, particularly useful partners of architects and interior designers. Also for this reason, the company’s research never stops and has the aim of always including new natural stones to expand its portfolio and the proposals for designers.
