ZOLLER and GranQuartz will host a unique, in-depth workshop for operators in the stone industry on September 13 and 14, 2023. Stone Industry Training Days is a two-day Advanced CNC Technology Training and Certification Workshop that will take place at ZOLLER's North American headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan. During the workshop, ZOLLER technical experts will train participants to become certified operators and trainers of the stone industry's leading offline CNC tool presetting and measuring solution, the ZOLLER »smile«. Participants must have a »smile« machine in their facility to take the course. Those who complete the training will be awarded a certificate of completion. Lunch and gourmet dinner are part of the agenda for this workshop. The cost for the entire workshop is $1,695. Participation is limited to 20 people. Fabricators and other professionals within the decorative surface industry are invited to explore growth opportunities at the International Surface Fabricators Association’s (ISFA) 2023 Annual Conference, which will be held October 16-19 on the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten. This ISFA Certified Professional Solid Surface Fabrication Training program is the gold standard course for fabricating solid surface. The program is recognized by all major manufacturers and their network of certified fabricator partners. This hands-on, two-day session provides attendees with the skills and knowledge in all facets of the fabrication process, including layout, templating, seaming, support, sanding, edges, cutouts, backsplashes, thermoforming, finishing and installation. Participants will complete a vanity application which includes an integral bowl sink, built-up edge profile, edge inlay and examples of coved as well as set-on style backsplash. Active participants who complete the project with a satisfactory result will receive a certificate recognizing that they are an ISFA Certified Professional.
