Swift Studios Launches Creative Space Featuring Caesarstone Surfaces
New opening in NYC: Swift Studios, a special design-focused space for creators to find inspiration.
Founded by creative visionaries Erin Swift and Anna Livermore, Swift Studios is a first-of-its-kind experience in the Flatiron District of New York City. Swift Studios provides an environment for people looking for inspiration, to work, to meet, to just pass through, or to stay awhile. The 12,000-square-foot studio, designed in collaboration with Studio Den Den, features six unique shooting spaces with ample working windows including a cyclorama for fashion, a bathroom for lifestyle, and a working kitchen for food and beverage shoots. To provide a holistic photoshoot experience, Swift Studios joined with The Prop Workshop to become a one-stop shop for brands and influencers.
Swift Studios is most inspired by the spirit of the Bauhaus movement which emphasizes truth to materials or purpose. “This statement could not be truer when we began conceptualizing this design-focused space,” said Swift. “With the idea of bringing in some of the most well recognized, reputable and inspiring brands in the industry to create distinct and visually engaging environments to explore and produce exciting content, we deliberately sought such institutions as Caesarstone to partner on this project. During the design process, we selected surfaces that would maximize light for each space and were functional enough for a wide range of clients to produce their content, while being durable enough to withstand the constant flow of people. The versatility our clients find while incorporating our design elements has been widely recognized since our launch. We are thrilled to have partnered with the entire Caesarstone team on this project from inception to our final install.”
Recognizing the beauty of this project, Caesarstone collaborated with Swift Studios as the exclusive surfaces brand on the project. Caesarstone quartz surfaces, being so versatile and durable, have been used throughout the studio in several different environments: You’ll find Statuario Maximus in the Shooting Kitchen; Black Tempal in the Prep Kitchen; a floating vanity in Calacatta Nuvo; a double sided-sink in Arabetto in the Public Bathroom; Fresh Concrete and Empira White in the Shooting Bathroom (including a half-wall); and Piatto Black in the Bar.
Considering the foot traffic coming through the doors of Swift Studios as well as the displays being erected for different photoshoots and the food preparation for food and lifestyle shoots, it was a priority that the surfaces throughout be durable, easy-care, stain and scratch resistant, mold and mildew resistant and require no extensive maintenance like resealing. Caesarstone quartz ticks all of these requirements so it made sense that they were the ideal surface solution for this project. Other high-end brands used throughout the space include Fireclay Tile, Benjamin Moore paints, Hennepin Made lighting and GE appliances.
